Her journey started over 20 years ago, when she faced challenges as a parent and found that resilience and positive psychology could be taught and applied at work and in life. Since 2013, she has been diving deep into the science and practice of flourishing. Her biggest strength is helping to make flourishing measurable and understandable, using plain language and data to help organizations and individuals thrive. </p>
<p>One of Tamara’s key insights is that great leaders aren’t always at the top; “champions” at any level of an organization can foster positive teams by modeling the behaviors they want to see and amplifying others’ strengths. </p>
<p>What has Tamara seen that doesn’t work? Leaders telling individuals to “fix” burnout or well-being, without addressing organizational culture. Winning happens when leaders help create healthy work environments, versus just promoting individual self-care.</p>
